Gold Award Silver Award The SSCN has developed a three-tier accreditation system. The lowest tier is an affiliate, tier 1 is a bronze status, tier 2 is silver, and tier 3 is gold status. The tiers speak to where each organization is in relation to its governance and other important aspects of it’s make up.

SSCN Knowledge SharingTo grow the sector and ensure that we impact on the goals we have set out to achieve collectively, the need to build capacity is important. Over the years the SSCN has facilitated and provided numerous capacity building and training workshops to support its member organizations. As we navigate new challenges we face, the use of online training has increased of the past 2 years. The SSCN has partnered with both local and international partners to provide the training our member organizations need.
SSCN Resource MobilizationSince its inception the SSCN has invested millions of rands into the growth and impact of our member organizations work. Daily the work of our members reaches and impacts on more than quarter of a million beneficiaries across the African continent. Resources injected by the SSCN includes grant funding, in-kind support and sport equipment and apparel.

ABOUT SSCN

The SSCN was founded by Nike in 2007. In collaboration with other organizations, Nike created ‘Sport for Social Change Networks’ (SSCNs) in South Africa, Brazil, Kenya & UK that strive for strategic collaboration between the private and public sector in order to create opportunities for sports as an agent for change and devel­opment for the youth.
