Our most precious resource is the planet we currently find ourselves on, so our best means of ensuring the safety of one another is to protect our home. This award will be presented to the SSCNA member that has best demonstrated excellence using sport, physical activity, or physical education, to take action in protecting the environment, promoting sustainable consumption or combating climate change and its impacts.

In an effort to make a lasting impact through sport, every individual’s wellbeing and human rights should be respected. This award will be presented to the SSCNA member that has best demonstrated excellence in creating safe, inclusive and enjoyable environments where best sporting practice can be engaged.

An individual is always stronger with the backing of those around him, and a large factor in building an individual is to build the community around them. This award will be presented to the SSCNA member that has best demonstrated excellence using sport, physical activity, or physical education, to promote social cohesion in communities by helping build peaceful, inclusive, and equitable societies.

We all have something to contribute and nobody should be left unheard due to aspects of themselves they cannot change. The sporting world has often been a tumultuous area for those who are deemed “different” and that is something that needs to change. This award will be presented to the SSCNA member that has best demonstrated excellence using sport, physical activity, or physical education, through the inclusion and integration of the disabled community or other underrepresented groups throughout their communities.

Money makes the world go round and is essential to changing the world. While it is not the end goal, it does make your goals more achievable and rooted in the realm of reality. This award will be presented to the SSCNA member that has best demonstrated excellence using sport, physical activity, or physical education, by promot- ing economic development and productive employment in the communities in which they work, through programs that addresses employability, access to higher education or entrepreneurial skills.
