Angaza Sports and Development Centre is a community and youth-driven Non-Governmental organization (NGO) operating in Thika, Kenya since 2009. We work with communities and schools to further our football for a good mission that focuses on SDGs Good health and well-being, Quality Education, Gender equality, Clean water and sanitation, Decent work and Economic growth, Climate action, peace justice, and strong institutions and enhancing partnerships. Our approach focuses on linking play based education movement games and sports and we do this by training community sports coaches, young leaders and school teachers in order for them to deliver quality programmes to our beneficiaries. Our current projects are Play football, be informed, stay healthy (mental health, use of psychoactive substances and menstrual health) Elimu, Michezo na afya (digital learning in schools, WASH, reproductive health and gender issues) youth employability and social enterprise and youth exchange programs. In the current year we have trained 55 Community sports coaches and school teachers and impacted 7685 beneficiaries in 6 different communities.
