Hoops 4 Hope, a non-profit organization, has been working since 1995 in underserved communities in Cape Town, South Africa, and Harare, Zimbabwe. Empowered by Sport and the spirit of Ubuntu: I Am Because We Are, Hoops 4 Hope is committed to building and sustaining a community ecosystem that is a catalyst for positive youth development and social change. By combining Basketball and our Skills 4 Life programming, H4H has been able to remain steadfast in its focus – improving the health and the well-being of young people in South Africa and Zimbabwe. Hoops 4 Hope has succeeded in creating an innovative sports-based youth leadership curriculum that supports youth development in local communities to address modern social challenges.
