South Sudan Youth Sports Association was established 2 years after South Sudan declared independence in 2011. This newly formed country faced massive internal conflict. This conflict turned into a civil war which resulted in two million people fleeing the country and those remaining living on the verge of starvation. The South Sudan Youth Sports Association works towards peaceful co-existence and conflict resolution in several refugee camps with the aim to improve young people’s lives.
