The National Organization for Women in Sport, Physical Activity and Recreation (NOWSPAR) is a Zambian Non-Governmental membership organization. It was founded in 2006 and is based on the belief that sports, physical activity, and recreation have the power to foster social change and increase an individual’s quality of life, be it a child or an adult.

It advocates, educates, and increases participation of women and girls in sports. In its quest to encourage and promote engagement of women and girls in all areas, levels and abilities in physical activity, sport, and recreation for fun and excellence; it uses sport and physical movement as a tool for teaching and engaging with children and young people especially adolescent girls and young women on life skills empowerment, child rights education, safeguarding and protection of children from all forms of harm be it in sports and other walks of their lives.

NOWSPAR believes that all people should have equal access to information, education, and healthy lifestyle choices. It targets women and girls in communities, sports association, social and recreation clubs, and schools.
