The organisation is based in Limpopo province, Capricorn district under Polokwane Municipality at Ga-Molepo, Laastehoop Stand No: 300003 next to Lastehoop Primary School. JSM Community Project was established in October 2007 and registered as an NPO in August 2011 under the Department of Social Development. The organisation is also
registered with South African Revenue Service (SARS) as Public Benefit Organisation (tax no – 9920670156), a member of Southern African Association of Youth Clubs (SAAYC), joined Worldwide federations of United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organisations (UNESCO) Clubs (JSM UNESCO Club) and also a member of Sport for Social Change Network (SSCN). The organisation was established mainly to deal with challenges faced by youth in various spheres of development particularly in rural areas and also to fight against poverty and create jobs.
