The founding of the Borussia Commondale Football Club in 2011 was also the starting signal for a social project that is unique in the Commondale region. It uses the enthusiasm of young people for football in order to “lure” as many of them as possible off the streets onto the football field. Having fun playing football together and the team spirit experienced in the process enable experiences that have an effect far beyond the final whistle: e.g. strengthening of self-esteem, team spirit and fair play through to health education and prevention of HIV / AIDS.
